in Control
Happy Holidays!
This is my favorite profile picture because it represents a time in my life when I felt I was in total control of my life.
Waking up Christmas morning in the emergency room is a bit of a different feeling.
The first week covid infiltrated my system was rather pleasant.. light cough, low grade fever, dehydration, few aches. On this Tuesday however the cough grew consistent, drawing blood from my lungs and eventually led to vomiting. My fever was consistently over 101 so I felt like “I got this” just flew out the window.
So very early Wednesday morning, my ever supportive parents drove me to the ER in record time. I was admitted with multiple symptoms some due to covid some due to lupus flare and others because my kidneys are still low functioning.
Needless to say I’m making the staff earn the last paycheck of the year! I’m hoping we can get things under control so I can hit south beach for NYE!

Thanks for the few of you who have checked in and I apologize for not being so responsive. Between scans and tests I’m mostly sleeping. With all the coughing it’s also fairly hard to breathe deep enough to hold conversation.
Mentally frustrated but content, knowing the power of prayer & positivity combined with a greater being is in control and knows better than I how things should go.
Stay blessed,
Aaron
