Granted

I was talking with a friend yesterday while sitting at the doctor’s office waiting patiently for my pricks and prodding to begin.

She asked how often I have to see the doctor and I just said it’s just a routine and I don’t even know between the 6 different specialist on the roster, not to mention blood draws.

My head began to complain and think how much I’ve spent in Ubers to and from and hours in waiting rooms.. how much work could be getting done and the productivity I’ve been hindered from with all my medical related activities.

And then the Holy Spirit whispered.. “Remember when you were healthy, what you did with all of your free time and money!?!

That’s why you’re here now. It’s the best we could do, be thankful you’re still in the game.”

Touché ..

Today, I have yet another procedure to clean out my sinus cavities. As you can see in the picture (black is air passage and grey = blocked) it’s much needed. Don’t pretend like you haven’t been annoyed at the amount of nose blowing or snot rockets you’ve had to endure while in my presence.

Ya’ll probably think I’m ambitious because I’m up early when really it’s because I can’t sleep more than 3 hours while mouth breathing. 🥴

So after that little whisper, I’m content to be here and grateful that unlike many many others I have access to the care and the care takers in my community to cover me when needed.

Its a simple procedure and the second for me in 18 years.. All this to say. Don’t take what you have now for granted. I did once and as you can see nearly began to again. Every day is a gift, enjoy the presence.

Be encouraged and ask the Holy Spirit to speak to you when you’re frustrated and be content.

thanks God!
