The waiting list...

March 2020 - Routine Checkup, lab work indicated the chemotherapy has run its course and the kidney deterioration had resumed. Now at approximately 16%, its time to move forward with being listed for a cadaver kidney. I was encouraged to seek living donors because there are nearly 100,000 people on the waitlist already, an estimated 3-5 years wait. Prognosis - find a living donor before my kidney function declines to a level where dialysis is needed to stay alive.

May 2020 - Begin evaluation as candidate for kidney transplant with Duke Transplant Clinic. Results are approved for and indicate current kidney function closer to 10%. My Brothers begin evaluation as potential living donors.

August 2020 - The living donation evaluations are moving slowly so doctors encourage me to cast a wider net for living donors, just in case neither of my brothers are approved. I produced and released a public video asking for support. Thank God, my kidney function somehow remains stable at 10%.
